Looking forward for a career in the field of Oracle DBA and RDBMS. Being from a Technical Background I am confident of playing a significant role in Oracle 8.x implementation and Administration on Unix and Windows NT platform.

Description :
Citibank N.A (India Operations) is a leading player in Retail Banking business (Suvidha). As a part of Advanced Product Services Team I was involved in Design, Implementation and troubleshooting of Oracle 9.0.1.3 with Two Node Real Application Cluster on Sun E15K. This RAC instance would cater to their Retail Banking application of all Citibank Branches in India.

Description :
Working in 24/7 Support Team as Database Administrator for Karnataka Bank Ltd Data Center. The Bank is a leading Financial Institution in India and has more than 250 Branches. As a part of the Support Team I was involved in installing Oracle 7.3.4 on SUN E6500 Server with Sun Cluster 2.1. Configuring Solstice Backup manager and RMAN, Configuring Netscape Web server and the Finacle Application from Infosys and Overall Administration and Management of Oracle 7.3.4 database.

Description :
Wipro Net is one of the Leading Internet Service Providers under the brand name NetKracker. NetKracker has been rated as the best amongst all the ISPs in the metropolitan cities for its high speeds, Faster Downloads and Efficient Helpdesk. The work included installing Oracle 8.0.4 on Solaris and other Applications like Advanced Help Desk from Computer Associates. An Efficient Backup Strategy has been evolved ensuring 24/7- availability of Billing, Radius and Helpdesk Server. I am also involved in the daily Administration and Performance Tuning as and when required.

E-com and E-security are the part of Solutions Division of Wipro Infotech handling Electronic Commerce and Security. The Project was Content Management Software developed on OpenMarket Content Management for CRISIL Ltd. Mumbai. CRISIL is a Credit Rating Agency. The work involved Installation of Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris, Installing & Configuring Iplanet WebServer, Configuring OpenMarket Software, Migrating the existing Clients database from SqlServer 7.0 to Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris using Migration WorkBench, Setting Up Replication between SqlServer 7.0 on Windows NT and Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris using Generic Connectivity.

Description :
GE Power Controls is the subsidiary of GE US, deals with manufacturing-distribution of Power Controls and its accessories. It has five manufacturing facilities around Bangalore, Pondichery, Mumbai and four Regional Marketing offices at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Calcutta with HO at Bangalore. GE and Wipro together had developed an in-built Financial Package, which controls the Marketing and distribution activity.
I was involved in setting up Replication across these branches. The Replication was done using Read Only Snapshots and Procedures and was Asynchronous.

Description :
The system was for the Urban Co-operative Bank and involved designing the Integrated Standard Banking System (ISBS) and Inter Branch Reconciliation System (IBR).
ISBS is an comprehensive banking system consists of Core modules such as Customer Information system, Adhoc Functions, Customer Services, Transaction Processing, General Ledger and various add on modules such as Savings, Cash Credit, Deposits, Advances and Bills processing the needs of Commercial Bank. The software is running live at all its 12 branches. IBR system will receive and archive all Inter Branches entries originated and responded by all the branches. The software will match and reconcile originating and corresponding entries. The software will list out unreconciled entries, region wise, branch wise and amount wise.
Working in a team of four, I was involved in requirement collection from the Functional Departments and using the requirements collected in designing the Database system and developing a prototype for client Demonstration. During the entire Life cycle there was a extensive interaction with the user community and the Development Team. My role was primarily in Designing, Installing Oracle, administering the Database, and assisting the Team with the database code.
